File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is the simplest way to transfer files through the internet to your computer. FTP connection can be made in web browsers like Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer, but the problem with this is it is more difficult to download the file and your computer would not be protected from the damage the downloads can do to your computer.  But is you use FTP connection with a software program like the FTP Client, which is dedicated for FTP files, it is easier and downloads are faster.  Plus you have added security for those large file downloads and you can resume downloading your file if ever your connection was interrupted.

FTP is really a convenient and an easier way to download files. In FTP Client, have two window panels.  The window on the left is the files you have in your computer and the right side shows the files of the other computer.  Just drag and drop the files for easy transfers.  Transferring files cannot get easier and faster than that.  And whenever your download is interrupted, you can always resume.
