Tips On Removing Varicose Veins
I recently have been diagnosed with varicose veins. This condition has occurred in the back side of my leg. I met a vein specialist in a vein center who advised me not to do certain things so that the condition do not aggravate. I was asked not to stand for long periods. This is because blood does not flow well if someone is in the same position for a long period, as the muscle does not contract well to push the blood to the heart. I was also asked to keep a check on my weight, as any extra weight would result in more pressure on my veins. Again, with aging, there could result in normal wear and tear of the valves in the veins. The valves are responsible to regulate the blood flow and there could result in malfunction of the valve that leads to varicose veins. Again, I was informed that women have greater chances of developing varicose veins and spider veins due to hormonal changes that occur at the time of pregnancy as also due to pre-menstruation or menopause. Genetics is also an important factor that plays to cause varicose veins. One can check whether any family member is having this condition.
